Our cancellation policy

We have adjusted our cancellation conditions so that you can plan your holiday without any worries even in these special times.

You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 7 days before arrival for one of the following reasons

South Tyrol is classified as a high risk area
Your home town is classified as a high risk area
Closures of Italy’s border or the border of your home country
State quarantine order for return travellers from South Tyrol

In the cases mentioned above, you can cancel your booking free of charge. The deposit will be credited to you for a future stay. We thank you for your trust!

In all other cases, the following cancellation conditions apply

No charge is made for cancellations up to 30 days prior to arrival.
From 29 to 21 days prior to arrival we retain the deposit.
From 20 days prior to arrival we request 80% of the total cost of the booked stay.
For cancellations on arrival day, late arrival, early departure or no-show we charge 100% of the day rate according to reservation order.

Important information about the insurance:

Cancellation cover
Something unforeseen can always happen between booking and departure! Illness, accident, death, damage to property or the inability to drive the vehicle intended for the trip. If the booked vacation cannot be started, the insured arrangement price is replaced. And that without any deductible!

Trip interruption and additional costs for home or onward travel
If the trip has to be interrupted prematurely, the unused travel services will be reimbursed; depending on the time of departure, the full, but in any case the pro-rata arrangement price. If additional costs are incurred for the journey home or onward, these will also be covered.

Delay in arrival
It is necessary to postpone the journey or the arrival at the accommodation is delayed because you suffer a traffic accident or breakdown with your private vehicle on the direct way to the accommodation, or the journey is interrupted due to a roadblock.

IMPORTANT: Insurance cover Covid-19
The insurance cover in case of a Covid infection is already included in the basic package.
In order to be protected also in case of an obligatory quarantine WITHOUT infection, the additional package "Coronavirus insurance cover" must be booked in addition (appears as soon as you have selected the basic package). If, for example, your child has to be quarantined due to a positive case at school and you cannot take the vacation for this reason, the "Coronavirus insurance cover" takes effect.

General information

Up to 6 people traveling together are insured.
The amount of the premium depends on the amount of the arrangement price.
Any insurance policy that includes travel cancellation insurance must be concluded within three working days (Monday – Saturday) of booking the trip. If the insurance is concluded later, the insurance cover shall include only events that occur from the 10th day after conclusion of the insurance.
Risk persons: Close relatives up to the 3rd degree of relationship (aunt, uncle, nephew, niece); in addition, one (unrelated) person may be named.

Your stay

Dishwashing detergent is included in the price and is provided in your apartment.
We have a laundry room with household machines where you can wash yourself. We charge € 5 per wash or dry cycle, you can get the coins at the reception. The washing machine already contains detergent, you just have to choose the program.
The coffee machine is filled with Senseo capsules. The first capsules are available in the room upon arrival, while the next ones can be purchased at the reception for € 0.50 each.
The refrigerator also has a freezer compartment.
There are no placemats or tablecloths in the apartments. You are welcome to bring them from home or let us know early enough so we can organize some.
You will find cleaning rags in your apartment. Since the daily cleaning of the apartment is included in the price, we do not provide any other cleaning utensils.
The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob as well as with suitable cooking pots.
If you have food intolerances, please inform us before arrival so that we can organize everything in the best possible way.
All apartments except the apartment NIVIS (mansard) have a balcony.
If you book with breakfast, it is possible to have breakfast in your apartment without extra charge. We will be happy to bring you a breakfast box at the desired time. Alternatively, we offer a free bread delivery service.
Dogs are allowed for an extra charge of € 15 per day. We ask for your understanding that they do not have access to the breakfast room and the wellness area.
You are welcome to park your car in the underground garage. If you arrive with an e-car, two charging stations are available in the garage.
The use of our wellness area is included in the price. The swimming pool is open daily from 8 am to 9 pm and the saunas from 1 pm to 9 pm.
Wheelchair accessible apartments: There are two wheelchair accessible apartments on the ground floor. However, these are our smallest category (FLORES) for up to 4 persons. The ALPINEA apartments can also be occupied by wheelchair users, but they are not equipped with appropriate grab bars and the space under the sink is limited, so comfortable access is not possible.
Children can use the outdoor playground of the Feuerstein Nature Family Resort free of charge. We can also organize a private babysitter for your children. The price for this is € 20 per hour per child.
You have the option of a relaxing Day Spa at the Feuerstein for € 60 per adult or € 160 per family. The price also includes lunch and afternoon buffet (possible only during the week in high season).

Fequently asked questions

Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed. We charge € 15/day for your pet without food. Dog blanket and bowl are available in the apartment, as well as a supply corner and treats. Dogs are not allowed to enter the following areas: breakfast room and the SPA area. But a true dog paradise begins in front of the house. A lot of exercise in the greenery and walking paths ensure a good mood.
Is it possible to drink the water from the tap in the room?
Yes, you can drink the water from the tap without hesitation. It comes from a pure spring in the Pflerscher mountains.
Where can I book spa treatments?
Spa treatments can be booked at the spa reception or at reception in the lobby.
Can you do your laundry in the house?
We have a laundry room with household machines where you can wash your own clothes. PRo wash or dryer will be charged € 5, the coins are available at the reception.
Is there a covered car park/garage?
Yes, you can park your car for free in our underground car park.
Is wi-fi available?
Yes, our W-Lan is at your disposal free of charge.
When do I have to check out by?
We ask you to leave the apartment on the day of departure by 11.00 am at the latest.
Which payment options are available?
Hotel bill may be settled in cash (EUR, max. € 999,99) or by credit card (Visa, Mastercard).

Pflerschtal and surroundings

What’s the weather like in the Pflersch Valley?
Winter in the Pflersch Valley begins around mid-November. The ski resorts are open from December to Easter, depending on how early or late Easter falls. In winter, temperatures often fall below zero, and warm clothes are a must. From the end of February/beginning of Aprol, the countryside begins to blossom in the valley, and the first signs of spring begin to appear. On Whitsun, the first mountain huts open up agian on the mountain pastures and are wonderfully welcoming hiking destinations; the warm, butnot too hot days from mid-May until mid/end June are perfect for it. The weather in the mountains is extremly changeable, so you should always pack a jacket, sun protection and a hat in your rucksack. The beginning of July ist he time for tours in the high mountain areas and the higher-lying mountain huts including the Magdeburg hut and the Tribulaun hut. In the valley, th elake is excellent for a refreshing dip or a sunbathing session after a walk. At the end of August the temperature drops a little, and it’s pleasantly fresh in the shade and in the evenings. From mid/end September, autumn falls over the land and hiking though the blaze of colours up tot he sunny mountain pastures is a fabulous experience. Please make sure that you pack warm clothes in your rucksack. Most mountain huts close at the end of October or on All-Daints’Day.
What can you do if the weather’s bad (in summer)?
There are countless leisure attractions for families in the surrounding area. At the mountain mine museum in Ridnaun you can follow in the trails of miners, and the splendour oft he magnificent rooms in Wolfsthurn Castle is spellbinding. The Alpenzoo in Innsbruck is always worth a visit, as ist he regional Capital of Bozen with the Ötzi-Museum and the South Tyrol Museum of Natural History.
Where’s the nearest shop?
The nearest shop is in the neighbouring village of Gossensass (approx. 5 km away). Here you will find a selection of food and household articles. In any case it is worth a trip to Sterzing (approx. 10 km), where you will find numerous grocery shops, shops and boutiques. The larger grocery shops have continuous opening hours, whereas the smaller shops have a lunch break from 12.30 to 14.30. On Thursday afternoons all shops in Sterzing are closed, but they are open on Saturday afternoons. The Eurospar and the Pardeller bakery in Sterzing are also open on Sunday.
Which museums are in the surrounding area?
In the immediate vicinity, you will find the Ridnaun mountain Museum in the Ridnaun Valley,m and the Hunting and Fishing Museum in Castle Wolfsthurn in Mareit. Other museums include Reifenstein Castle near Sterzing, the Audioversum interactive museum and the Alpenzoo in Innsbruck, the Mineral Museum in Teis and the Bishop’s Palace in Brixen.
Where ist he nearest hospital, paediatrician or chemist?
The nearest hospital is in Sterzing, and the children’s station has an excellent reputation. The nearest chemist is in Gossensass and is open Monday-Friday from 8 am to 12 pm. There is also a chemist in Sterzing. On Sundays and public holidays, one of these two chemists is always open.

Activity programme and equipment

Where can I rent ski equipment?
Ski equipment for all ages is available for rental at the Ladurns ski resort at the Rent and Go ski rental, or at Sport Wurzer in Gossensass.
Are ski courses offered?
Yes, both group and individual ski courses are offered by the Ladurns Ski School. The weekly ski courses always start on Sunday. The "Gold for Kids" seal of approval guarantees the high level of the children's ski school teaching and child care. Registration is made directly at the Ladurns ski school.
Are guided ski tours offered?
We are happy to organise guided ski tours for you accompanied by trained mountain guides.
Do you have backpacks and walking sticks for hire?
You can rent hiking poles and backpacks from us.
Are guided hikes offered?
We are happy to organise guided hikes for you accompanied by trained mountain guides.
Do you have mountain bikes we can rent?
We have mountain bikes for children and adults which you can rent, and also e-bikes.
Are guided bike tours offered?
We will gladly organise guided bike tours for you.

Arrival

What do I need on arrival?
On arrival you will usually be asked for an identity card with photo or passport.
Can I arrive earlier on the day of arrival?
From 14 o'clock the booked apartment is at your disposal on the day of arrival. If you arrive earlier at the hotel, we will be happy to take your luggage into safekeeping.
Do you need snow chains in winter?
You don’t need snow chains, winter tyres are more than enough. The road services clear the roads regularly and well.
How do you get tot he Feuerstein family hotel without a car?
By train: Arriving by train? We are happy to pick you up at the train station with our hotel shuttle.
Transfer costs one way: Train station Innsbruck € 140 | Train station Brenner € 35 | Train station Gossensass € 10
By plane: Arriving by plane? We provide a transfer service between the Feuerstein hotel and Innsbruck airport (€ 140 eaach way, transfer to and from other airports on request).
How long does it take to drive to Sterzing, Innsbruck, Brixen or Bozen?
Sterzing is roughly a 15-minute drive away. You can get to Innsbruck in around 45 minutes, Brixen in around 30 minutes and Bozen in around 60 minutes.
Are there charging stations for electric?
Our parking garage offers several charging stations for electric cars.
